In 2013, Mike devised a portable, solar-powered projector system for use in education and humanitarian aid in lesser-developed countries including Tanzania, Nepal, and Haiti. Mike and Jas are two of the founding volunteers of Branch Lutheran Schools of Haiti, Inc. and consider the opportunity a blessing and joyful labor of love. In addition to work and ministry, they enjoy skiing, camping, and kayaking in northern California.
